PRACTICE POLICIES

As a professional Licensed and Board Certified Massage Therapist, I am committed to upholding the standards of the Code of Ethics set forth by Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

Scheduling
Sessions are available by appointment only. The easiest and most time efficient way for you to find availability and book your appointment is to visit our online calendar by clicking here.

Arrival time

New Clients please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for your consultation to formulate a treatment plan for your scheduled session. To maximize your massage time, please complete the forms ahead of time.

Please be aware that I do not have a reception area and am unable to accommodate you more than 15 minutes before your treatment time, as I am likely with another client or preparing for your session. If you arrive earlier, you may see a sign on the door. Please have a seat outside and start to relax, and I'll be with you momentarily. If you are running late, please send a courtesy text or email. The time we schedule for your appointment is reserved especially for you. If you are late, you are missing out of your massage time. The session will end at the scheduled time and the full cost of the session will be expected as the time was set aside for you.

Returning Clients please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in and update your treatment plan before your session begins at its scheduled time.

Cancellations, Rescheduling and No Shows
Please provide at least 24 hours notice should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment to allow ample time to fill your slot and avoid incurring a missed appointment fee. For any changes within 24 hours, you will be billed half the cost of your session. If you do not show for your appointment you will be billed the full cost of the session. Any cancellations within three hours of your scheduled appointment time will be considered a no show. Payment must be made before your next appointment will be scheduled. I understand emergencies happen on occasion and thank you for your consideration and understanding.

Illness
There are times when massage is contraindicated, and could actually intensify and prolong your illness. If you feel like you may be getting sick or you have an active cold, flu, cough, sore throat, stomach virus, or anything contagious, it is best to reschedule your appointment to avoid prolonging and intensifying the illness and also to avoid spreading it to others. Thank you for your consideration!

Payment
Payment is due when professional service is rendered. Payment is accepted by cash, check, credit or debit card. We also accept HSA and FSA card payments, and we are happy to provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Non-sexual
All services are strictly professional and non-sexual in nature. Any overt or suggestive statements or actions will result in termination of session and the therapeutic relationship, and payment will be due in full. If appropriate, law enforcement may be contacted.

Confidentiality
All verbal and written information provided will be kept strictly confidential, except where mandated by law.

Medical Treatment

Therapeutic massage is not intended to provide medical examination or diagnosis and shall not be considered to serve as a substitute for medical treatment. There are certain circumstances under which massage may be contraindicated and it may be necessary at times to refer you to a physician or another healthcare provider. It is your responsibility to provide accurate information on your health intake form and to inform your therapist of any updates to your health status.
